the things i hold dear are simple

I’m Amanda Lynch Elliott and I'm so glad to connect with you!  I'd like to take a minute or two to share a bit about me and my background.
I’m a Florida licensed attorney, and native Pensacolian (the Gulf Coast of Florida).
I graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, and Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, with honors, where I met my husband, Mark, who is also from the Gulf Coast. Thankfully, I didn’t have to drag him home!
We returned to Pensacola in 2017 to begin our careers, and welcomed our first child in 2018.
I have been fortunate to gain experience from wonderful mentors and business owners along the way. I worked for a real estate law firm through law school, completed a judicial clerkship with a local federal chief judge during the summer, and was employed by two amazing female attorneys upon graduating.
Covid and a need for increased flexibility prompted the creation of Modern Legal - an idea I've been dreaming up since before law school.
My main goal behind Modern Legal is to make legal services, particularly estate planning, available to all people and families in an efficient fashion. I’m passionate about educating my clients while creating lasting relationships.
As a professional mom, I have an ever-increasing understanding of all of the various roles that working parents balance. That’s why I offer both comprehensive guidance and basic "unbundled" estate planning. I pride myself on simplifying the often complex process of estate planning.
It doesn’t have to be overwhelming!
When I’m not practicing law, I enjoy my family, reading, volunteering, and traveling. I’ve served as an advocate for abused and neglected children through the Guardian ad Litem program since 2013, and currently serve on the Board of Directors as the fundraising chair for the program.
My hobbies include running, yoga, paddle boarding, and most anything in the sunshine - usually alongside my twin sister, Rebecca.
I'd love to learn more about you! Tell me who you are + how you got started below!
